Chapter 32 { Enemies Lurking In The Shadows}

Princess Lissa slowly opened her eyes, wincing as a sharp pain shot through her head. The room was dimly lit, and she struggled to focus her vision. As her surroundings came into view, she realized she was no longer in her chamber at the inn but in a small, unfamiliar room. Panic set in as she tried to move, only to find herself tightly bound to a chair.
Fear gripped her heart as she recalled the events leading up to her abduction. Three women had come to the palace, pretending to be damsels working at the inn. They had offered her cookies and tea. The next thing she knew, she had blacked out, and now she was here, at the mercy of her captors.
As she tried to make sense of her situation, she felt around for her crest, disheartened when she could not feel it.
